IAP Statement on Elon Musk’s Work to Correct Twitter’s Content Moderation Policies

November 2, 2022

WASHINGTON — Mike Davis, Founder and President of the Internet Accountability Project, issued the following statement after Elon Musk tweeted about his discussions with others on Twitter’s content moderation policies.

“We strongly encourage Elon Musk to include leading conservatives in the process, such as Miranda Devine of the New York Post, acclaimed lawyer Harmeet Dhillon, and Big Tech expert Rachel Bovard. At the end of the day, Twitter’s content moderation policies should be designed to enhance the user experience while respecting free speech, not simply to do what’s in the best interest of the Democrat Party. Congress must pass the long-term censorship solution by updating our century-old antitrust laws, so we can finally break up Big Tech’s gatekeeping power over online information and commerce,” said Mike Davis.

The Internet Accountability Project is a conservative grassroots advocacy organization that opposes Big Tech and seeks to hold these companies accountable for their bad acts.
