IAP Statement On The Latest Bogus Twitter Suspension of Founder and Big Tech Critic Mike Davis

| WASHINGTON – Mike Davis, founder and president of the Internet Accountability Project (IAP), today released a statement on his fifth and latest Twitter suspension following his tweet exposing disgusting, coordinated Democrat attacks against Tucker Carlson and Fox News. The statement may be found below. Just hours after a monstrous mass shooting took place in Buffalo, New York, a mob of Democrat Twitter users baselessly blamed the horrific tragedy on Tucker Carlson and Fox News. Davis responded by posting a tweet dispelling these falsehoods by highlighting portions of the monster’s manifesto, which included anti-Semitic memes about Fox News and other content that directly refuted the Democrats’ narrative. In response, Twitter issued a 12-hour suspension on Davis’ account – and attempted to force him to delete the factual tweet in order to gain access to his account, even after Google removed the manifesto from the Google link. |

| This is the fifth time Davis has been unjustifiably suspended by Twitter’s left-wing thought police. The first three times, Twitter said they were “errors” when it faced a media and congressional backlash. Most recently, Davis was suspended for making a movie reference at the expense of former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo and current CNN media analyst Brian Stelter. Davis was suspended for a third time late last June for criticizing President Joe Biden’s border policies. On June 7, Davis was suspended for the second time for sending a tweet defending Will Upton, a Big Tech critic and former Trump administration official. On another occasion, Twitter suspended Davis’ account for calling out BLM and Antifa’s political violence. Davis’ suspension sparked significant outrage. After Twitter began receiving media and congressional inquiries, Twitter claimed his fifth suspension was also an “error.” |

| “Twitter allowed the baseless and vile smears orchestrated by Democrat operatives against Tucker Carlson and Fox News to spiral out of control. But when I spoke up to dispel the falsehoods, Twitter suspended me. They only backed down, like three prior suspensions, claiming an ‘error’ after receiving numerous media and congressional inquiries. Elon Musk cannot get there soon enough. He must clean house in Twitter’s Ministry of Truth, end the left-wing culture war of censorship against conservatives carried out by Big Tech companies on a daily basis, and return Twitter to its founding free-speech principles. “Twitter’s bad-faith pattern of suspensions of Big Tech critics and conservatives like me highlights exactly why the work of the Internet Accountability Project is so important. Big Tech platforms have too much power, and they use it to crush competition, shutter small businesses, and cancel conservatives. We must win the urgent fight to break up Big Tech and reform Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act to stop these abuses. This includes passing bipartisan antitrust reforms working their way through Congress before August to hold Big Tech accountable,” Davis said.
